Child actress Ohashi Nozomi(大橋のぞみ) to retire from show business

Child actress Ohashi Nozomi(大橋のぞみ)(12) plans to withdraw from show business at the end of this month. Her management agency, Central Group, announced the news on its official website.

Ohashi will enter junior high school this April. The agency explained that after discussions with Ohashi and her family, it was decided that she will take this opportunity to focus on her studies from now on.

Ohashi was set to star in a movie titled “Daisuki na Kutsu wo Haitara(大好きなクツをはいたら),” originally scheduled for release on March 31. However, the agency revealed that due to circumstances on the production side, the film’s release has been canceled.

Ohashi has been appearing in television dramas and movies since the age of 3 years old. She got her big break in 2007 when she made her singing debut with the theme song for the Studio Ghibli animated film “Gake no Ue no Ponyo(崖の上のポニョ).”
