Jin Akanishi(赤西仁) Leaves Johnny's, Both Sides Mutually Agreed To Not Extend Contract

According to the report by Sankei Sports, it was revealed that Johnny's Entertainment singer Jin Akanishi(赤西仁) (29) has finished his contract with the agency.  The firm admitted that it wasn't a contract termination and that both sides mutually agreed to not extend Akanishi's contract, which ended at the end of February 2014.

Akanishi left the 6 person group KAT-TUN(at the time) in July of 2010 and then married actress Meisa Kuroki(黒木メイサ) (25) in February of 2012 without notifying the agency beforehand. He has been notoriously known for his free-spirited controversial actions. Akanishi originally started out strong with his overseas activities in America but the agency wanted to focus more on domestic activities in Japan instead.  It seems the difference in direction played a key role in the split between Akanishi and Johnny's.

Warner Music Japan said the release of the live dvd will continue on as planned in April.  But other activities are still undecided at this point and they can't comment on anything about any agreement in the future. Former KAT-TUN member Koki Tanaka(田中聖) (28) was terminated by Johnny's at the end of September from last year for repeatedly violating rules in his contract agreement.
