Shun Oguri(小栗旬) Starring For Live Action Drama And Film Adaptions of Nobunaga Concerto(信長協奏曲)

It was revealed on May 7th, 2014 that actor Shun Oguri(小栗旬) (31) will be starring for the live action drama and movie adaptions of popular manga series "Nobunaga Concerto(信長協奏曲)" as part of Fuji TV's 55th anniversary project.


The popular manga series will receive a TV anime adaption in July, a drama series in October, and then a big budget movie at a later date. The story is about a high school student who slips back in time to the Sengoku period(16th century ancient Japan). He turns out to look identical to Oda Nobunaga(織田信長), one of the most influential figures for the unification of Japan. The high school student will take over his place and tries to make sure history isn't rewritten.

Oguri will play two roles in the story and he's all fired up for the challenge: "It's a dream come true for me. I've been dying to play Nobunaga at least once in my lifetime."  In addition, Oguri will also be be doing the voice acting for the anime.
