GACKT's Former DEARS Fan Club President Arrested For Tax Evasion

Singer-songwriter GACKT's former fan club management was suspected of hiding of about 1.95 billions yen of income and evaded about 58 millions in corporate tax. On April 9th, 2014, the task force of the Tokyo District Public Prosecutors Office announced that they have arrested the former president of DEARS fan club management company on suspicion of tax law violation.


The company's president Tamaki Kosuke(玉置公祐) (54) and company officers Hiroshi Hasegawa(長谷川裕) (42) were both arrested. In addition, company executive Kenichiro Ikeuchi(池内健一郎) (41), who is an acquaintance of Hasegawa was arrested on suspicion of aiding and abetting.

According to the announcement by prosecutors, the suspects hid income and used padding accounting tactics to account for the cost of production and goods over a period of two years until September 31st, 2010. It is said the hidden money was devoted on purchase of high-end imported cars. The said company was founded in 2006 and managed the fan club of GACKT's. The company had huge profit margin while managing the fan club's oversea trips. GACKT's contract with the company was expired in the summer of 2012.

Gackt's agency said, "Gackt is not involved in the management of the DEARS fan club. We are not fully aware of the circumstances so we are not in a position to comment on the topic."

  1. even though articles aren't pointing any fingers at him, still I don't like that his name put along with these .Whenever GACKT have something big coming up some asshole ruin it for him. why is that ? it never fail.. hopefully there will be official statement that clear his name..
