Masaharu Fukuyama(福山雅治) Confesses He Thought About Marriage "Twice" In The Past

Singer-songwriter Masaharu Fukuyama(福山雅治) (45) appeared on Fuji TV's "HEY!HEY!HEY! 2014 超豪華アーティストにゴリ絡みましたSP (HEY!HEY!HEY! 2014 Cho Goka Artist ni Gori Karamimashita Special)" on April 7th, 2014. He revealed that he had thought about marriage twice in the past.

During the show, the 45 years old Fukuyama was approached with questions on "marriage, "old age", and "private life". The MC of the show Hitoshi Matsumoto(松本人志) of Downtown(ダウンタウン) asked, "Regarding marriage, I'm certain you have thought about it right?" Fukuyama said, "It is certainly not zero.. maybe once or twice..I guess."

After Fukuyama admitted that he had thought about marriage with two people in the past, Matsumoto pursued and asked, "Did you bring them to see your parents?" With carefully chosen words, Fukuyama said, "It wasn't on purpose but it was more of a general meet and greet that happened in a natural way."

Fukuyama is known as the most eligible bachelor. He then was asked with a very straightforward and the most intriguing question, "Why didn't you ever get married?" Fukuyama said, "If there's something that I don't feel comfortable or tolerable, I just can't allow myself to get married. The older I get, the more I understand this point."

In addition, Fukuyama also revealed that he doesn't know how to use a smartphone and he cries very easily in private.
