Shun Oguri(小栗旬) As Lupin(ルパン) And Meisa Kuroki(黒木メイサ) As Fujiko Mine(峰不二子); Visuals To The Live Action Of Lupin III(ルパン三世 ) Unveiled

On April 8th, 2014, the visuals for the cast to the live action adaption of popular anime Lupin III(ルパン三世 ) by Mr.Monkey Punch(モンキー・パンチ氏) (76) have been unveiled. The movie is directed by Ryuhei Kitamura(北村龍平) and it is on track for release on August 30th, 2014. Shun Oguri(小栗旬), Meisa Kuroki(黒木メイサ), and 3 others are cast as the main characters in the movie.

In order to play the slender officer Lupin(ルパン), Oguri had to lose over 8kg(17lbs) for the role. He is shown wearing a red jacket just like in the anime. The sexy criminal and burglar Fujiko Mine(峰不二子) is played by Meisa Kuroki(黒木メイサ). She is shown wearing a tight yellow dress revealing her her cleavage.

For the rest of the other 3 main characters, Lupin's right-hand man and expert marksman Jigen Daisuke(次元 大介) is played by Tetsuji Tamayama(玉山鉄二) (34). The role of Goemon Ishikawa XIII(石川五ェ門) is played by Go Ayano(綾野剛). Inspector Koichi Zenigata(銭形幸一) is played by Asano Tadanobu(浅野忠信) (40).

The producer of the film Mataichiro Yamamoto(山本又一朗) (66) said they tried to draw out the interesting parts from the anime while maintaining realism for the visuals of the movie. It is said the author of the manga Mr.Monkey Punch really likes the way Oguri portrays the character of Lupin. It is almost like the character from the manga jumps out into the real world.
