In 2002, the Guinness World Records officially recognized that the duo’s 11th single “ボクの背中には羽がある (Boku no Senaka niwa Hane ga Aru)”, released in 2001, had surpassed the record held by Irish boy band Westlife for “Most consecutive No.1 singles since their debut”.

Tsuyoshi Domoto had written the lyrics and Koichi Domoto the music to their momentous 30th single, “Family 〜ひとつになること (Hitotsu ni Narukoto)”, which focusses on the meaning on life and the importance of making ties between people, or families.
