Tokyo Jihen(東京事変)'s drummer arrested for public disturbance

Tokyo Jihen(東京事変)'s drummer Toshiki Hata(畑利樹) (34) was arrested this week for public disturbance.

According to the police department in Mitaka, Tokyo, the incident occurred at around 8:55pm on Thursday, February 10. Police received a call from a woman in a private residence, who said that she had heard a loud sound and discovered that the glass window of her bathroom was broken. An officer arrived at the scene about 10 minutes later. He spotted Hata and called out to him, but Hata didn't reply and just rammed the officer with his body.

Tokyo Jihen announced on their website that the release of their upcoming single "Sora ga Natteiru / Onna no Ko wa Daredemo/空が鳴っている／女の子は誰でも" has been postponed. The song was scheduled to go on sale on February 23. The band also announced that they will be canceling promotional activities for the single, which likely includes two scheduled performances on TV Asahi's "Music Station" on February 18 and February 25.
