Urbangarde(アーバンギャルド) to make a statement against sub-culture with their new single "Sayonara Sub-Culture(さよならサブカルチャー)"

Pop band Urbangarde(アーバンギャルド) is set to release a new single titled "さよならサブカルチャー(Sayonara Sub-Culture)" on September 19th, 2012. The single will be the 3rd single for the band this year and it will be used as a lead in to their 2nd album, which will be announced at a later date .

In this single, the band is questioning the meaning behind the word "Sub-Culture. As anime, manga, vocaloid idol, and doujin music have swept across Japan and become ingrained into the culture. What we think as Sub-culture now doesn't mean what we used to think. Without us knowing it, these "Sub-cultures" are starting to have more and more influence on the Mainstream media.

For the theme of the new Urbangarde, the band will meet and part with the "Sub-culture" head on. The band will ridicule and mock the meaning of the word "Sub-culture" with this new single.
