Hirano Aya(平野綾) resigns from her management agency

Voice actress, singer, and talento Hirano Aya(平野綾) (23) announced on her blog on Friday that she is officially leaving her management agency Space Craft on August 20. Space Craft has confirmed the news, and it has also been confirmed that Hirano’s official fan club will close on the same day.

There is lots of speculation that the move may be related to a magazine article last month that published photos of a woman who appears to be Hirano, kissing and being intimate with a man who resembles her guitarist. There has been no official comment on whether there is any truth to that speculation.

Hirano, however, wrote in her blog that she seriously began discussions of quitting with the Space Craft staff just after her birthday in October of last year. She stated that the biggest reason for her departure is that her direction does not match with her agency’s direction.

Hirano has been signed with Space Craft ever since she entered the entertainment industry as a child actress in 1998. She later skyrocketed to popularity as a voice actress after a series of big roles, starting with “Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu(涼宮ハルヒの憂鬱)” in 2006.

In her blog post, Hirano mentioned that her next agency has already been decided. The name of the agency has not yet been reported, but she commented that she worked with the company for her concerts last year.
