On Tuesday, rock band DIR EN GREY announced that they are canceling their upcoming “The Still Reckless Tour” in North America, due to the health of vocalist Kyo. They followed that up with another announcement on Wednesday, saying that they will suspend all immediate activities while Kyo undergoes medical treatment.
Kyo’s doctor recently diagnosed him with nodules in his vocal cords. It is said that his condition does not pose any major obstacle to his daily life, but it was determined that he needs to rest without overexerting his voice. As a result, the band is taking an urgent break, canceling their activities in March and April, including the North American tour. It is also reported that depending on the progress of Kyo’s recovery, surgery may be necessary.
