Dream member Yamamoto Sayaka(山本サヤカ) to leave the group


Yamamoto Sayaka(山本サヤカ), a member of the pop group Dream, will leave the group on March 31, it was announced this past week. She explained that she is leaving because she wants to pursue a new dream. Although she did not give any specific details about her future plans, it appears that she is aiming to work on a solo singing career.

Currently known just as Sayaka, she joined Dream in 2002 when the group added six more members. She was known for her vocal talent, and in 2005 she made her solo debut with a single under her name.

With Sayaka’s departure, Dream will be reduced to 4 members. The group originally consisted of 3 members at the time of its formation in 1999, and it was as large as 8 members from 2002 to 2004.
