Jin Akanishi(赤西仁) Joins Weibo(Chinese Version Of Twitter), Gains 50000+ Followers Within First Week

Singer Jin Akanishi(赤西仁) has opened an account with the Chinese version of Twitter called Weibo on March 8th, 2014. It is assumed Akanishi is trying to get into the Chinese market.

Akanishi left Johnny's & Associates, Inc. at the end of February then he opened an account with the Chinese version of Twitter called Weibo on the 8th of this month. After he joined Weibo, he posted a short message in both English and Japanese about his departure from the agency. Follow that short message, he posted private pictures of his dog and various things. His number of followers has already surpassed 50,000 within a week.

Akanishi has a strong desire to expand to overseas but the agency seemed to have a different opinion, which was the main reason that led him to leave Johnny's. It is said that joining the Chinese version of Twitter is his first step in developing the market in China.
