15 Years Old Wakana Aoi(葵わかな) Aims To Become Like Kou Shibasaki(柴咲コウ) In The Future

Actress Wakana Aoi(葵わかな) (15) appeared on Downtown's variety show "Kyokun no Susume(教訓のススメ) on Fuji TV. In the May 2nd episode to be aired, she will taste deep sea fish for the first time and joke around with moderator, Downtown's Hitoshi Matsumoto(松本人志).

While Aoi is referred as shy, she's busy with being a voice actress and an idol. In this coming July, she will graduate from the idol unit Otome Shinto(乙女新党) and will focus on being an actress.

Aoi was scouted in Harajuku, Tokyo to enter the entertainment field when she was in 5th grade. Her popularity has been steadily increased in recent years and appeared in many CMs such as for the Tokyo Marine and Nichido Fire Insurance company.

Aoi wants to continue singing and aims to become "an actress that can sing" just like her senior Kou Shibasaki(柴咲コウ) from her agency. She became a high school student this April and said she feels somewhat like an adult already. With her gaining popularity, she's going to be someone to look out for in the future.
