YOSHIKI Provides Newly Written Ballad For "Saint Seiya(聖闘士星矢)" The Movie

It has been revealed that YOSHIKI has just written down a new ballad for the movie "Saint Seiya LEGEND of SANCTUARY(聖闘士星矢 LEGEND of SANCTUARY)", which will be released on June 21st, 2014.

The movie "Saint Seiya LEGEND of SANCTUARY" has been produced to commemorate the 40th anniversary of Masami Kurumada(車田正美)'s debut as manga artist. This summer blockbuster is a full length CG animation movie on the sanctuary chapter(聖域十二宮編) of the series. The collaboration this time between YOSHIKI and Saint Seiya was due to their enormous popularity worldwide .

YOSHIKI personally wrote this ballad titled "Hero (Yoshiki Classical Version)" as the theme song and UK singer Katie Fitzgerald of VIOLET is in charge of the singing. YOSHIKI said, "The motif of the song is hero. The song just came to my mind and I was able to write this song with beautiful melody."

The movie "Saint Seiya LEGEND of SANCTUARY" is directed by Keiichi Sato(るさとうけいいち) who was also responsible with TV anime "TIGER & BUNNY". Sayaka SASAKI(佐々木彩夏) of Momoiro Clover Z(ももいろクローバーZ) has also been cast as a voice actress for the movie.
