Aya Hirano(平野綾) Reveals Her Chronic Illness over Twitter

Popular Seiyu, Aya Hirano tweeted about her chronic illness, pituitary adenoma, on her official twitter on November 2nd.  According to Aya, the illness was initially discovered back when she was in junior high school, but she decided not to take perform an operation because it was noncancerous, and the doctor also told her that the surgery could alter her voice.

Aya also said that the adenoma gives her some restraints on drinking alcohol or cold beverages.  In addition, she confessed that sometimes the adenoma touches her optic nerve, and it makes her temporarily blind and also hard to speak properly, but she says that she is used to it now, and she takes medicine for it.
