Kana Nishino(西野カナ) Awarded "Asian Most Influential Japanese Singer Award" at CMA

Singer songwriter Kana Nishino(西野カナ) (23) was awarded "Asian Most Influential Japanese Singer" at the 18th China Music Awards held at Cotai Arena at the Venetian Macao on April 23rd, 2014.

China Music Awards is the most prestigious music award in China organized by Channel[V] and it is one of the oldest in China since its establishment in 1994. The No.1 music festival featured all stars from across the globe including Korean boy band EXO-M, Japanese singer Kana Nishino, Latin sensation Ricky Martin, and many others. Soccer star David Beckham was also at the event as one of the award presenters.

In spring of 2014, Kana Nishino held her first Asia tour in Taiwan and Hong Kong. Tickets to the event in both cities were sold out immediately and it demonstrated her popularity in Asia. In addition, Nishino is also a huge female fashion icon in Japan and overseas. The track records from both the fashion and music worlds led her to winning the "Asian Most Influential Japanese Singer Award".

Nishino was awarded "Asian Most Influential Japanese Singer Award" and showed off her upcoming new single "We Don't Stop" at the stage. She then introduced herself in Chinese and said, "I'm really happy to be able to win a great award like this. I am also delighted that I am able to to meet everyone from another country today. I will continue to to work hard on overseas events in the future."

In addition, it should be noted that the new single "We Don't Stop" that was showcased at the award ceremony was written as the theme song for a TV drama series titled "Hanasaki Mai ga Damattenai(花咲舞が黙ってない)". The single to be released on May 21st, 2014.
