Do as Infinity will be releasing a brand new album for their 11th anniversary, titled, “EIGHT.”
The album is the 8th full studio album from the duo and will come out on January 19th of next year. Do as Infinity already has veteran producer Seiji Kameda (Tokyo Jihen) on board for the release. It will feature ballads similar to their hits "Hi no Ataru Sakamichi/陽のあたる坂道" and "Hiiragi/柊", but will also cover a much wider variety of genres. The tracks will vary from powerful upper songs to funk numbers.
Also included will be “Everything will be all right“, which was used as the 2010 BOAT RACE TV CM song, "Kimi ga inai Mirai/君がいない未来" from the television anime Inuyasha, and their “Do! Creative!!” project theme.
In addition, the most noteworthy aspect of the new album may be that this is the first time the members will be doing their own songwriting. The album will be released with a CD + DVD version that will contain the music video for “1/100” and three other music clips, along with documentary footage.
