Anime convention Otakon announced that R&B duo CHEMISTRY will make their U.S. debut as guests of honor this year. They will perform a concert on Friday, July 29, along with the 4-member dance group Synergy.
Synergy were originally background dancers for CHEMISTRY for the duo’s 2010 tour. CHEMISTRY then released two singles with them under the name CHEMISTRY + Synergy, titled “Shawty” and “Keep Your Love.”
CHEMISTRY has provided several theme songs for various animated works, including “Period” for the series “Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood.”
Otakon 2011 is being held on July 29-31 at the Baltimore Convention Center in Maryland.
