Arashi(嵐) chosen as main personalities for 35th “24 Hour Television(２４時間テレビ)”

It was announced on New Year’s Day that Arashi(嵐) has been appointed as the main personalities for this year’s “24 Hour Television(２４時間テレビ)” charity program this summer. This will be the group’s third time to serve as the main personalities, after doing so in 2004 and 2008.

The major theme of this year’s “24 Hour Television” is expected to be the continued recovery efforts for the March 2011 earthquake and tsunami in the Tohoku region. Last year’s “24 Hour Television(２４時間テレビ)”, which had Kanjani8 as the main personalities, raised more than 243 million yen for charity during its broadcast.

This year’s “24 Hour Television(２４時間テレビ)” will be the show’s 35th anniversary.

NTV has not yet announced the broadcast dates for the show.
