Tomohisa Yamashita(山下智久) and SMAP's Shingo Katori(香取慎吾) to form a new unit called “The MONSTERS”

It has been announced YAMAPI(Tomohisa Yamashita(山下智久)) and SMAP's Shingo Katori(香取慎吾) will form a new unit called "The MONSTERS". The new single(title pending) is set to be released on November 14th, 2012

The new unit "The MONSTERS" was formed in the wake of the new drama titled "MONSTER", which will be on air starting from October on TBS starring both YAMAPI and Katori. The theme song for the drama was co-produced by both of them. The song has already been included in SMAP's 20th album "GIFT of SMAP", which was released back in August.

Both YAMAPI and Katori have talked to each other about the future of this new unit "The MONSTERS". Katori said, "We want to continue this unit even after the drama is done. The unit is not a one time thing. I think we have built a nice rapport with each other that we want to create more songs for our fans."

In addition, the single will be released on November. The single will include a remix version of the title track plus the cover of Pink Lady's "Monster" too.
