Angela Aki(アンジェラ・アキ) Goes Without Glasses For Her Best Album "TAPESTRY OF SONGS -THE BEST OF ANGELA AKI"

Angela Aki(アンジェラ・アキ) is going to release her best album "TAPESTRY OF SONGS -THE BEST OF ANGELA AKI" on March 5th, 2014. For the limited edition of the album, she bares all and goes without her signature black glasses for the album jacket.

In the limited edition of the album, a transparent sleeve with only the picture of her signature black glasses is covering the album. Upon sliding off the sleeve case, you can see the bare face of Angela Aki. The limited edition to also include a bonus DVD with all the music videos from her and never before seen footage. A short TV spot of Angela Aki removing her glasses for the release was also published onto Youtube.

Angela Aki has stopped all music activities since her Tokyo Nippon Budokan performance on August 4th, 2013.  She commented on revealing a true face for the best album, "With the release of this best album, it sets a starting point for a new dream in the future.  By removing the glasses, it means a reset for me and returning back to the beginning point".

In addition, NHK E to broadcast a documentary program starring Angela Aki on March 22nd, 2014 (SAT) at 15:00.  In this program, it will show her reunion with the boys and girl she met in the junior high school in Nagasaki Prefecture back in 2008.
