Shiina Ringo(椎名林檎)'s New Single In Over A Year To Be The Theme Song For NHK Soccer Broadcast

Singer songwriter Shiina Ringo(椎名林檎) is going to release a new single (titled undecided) on June 11th, 2014.

This upcoming release will be her first single in over year since her previous work "irohanihoheto(いろはにほへと) / kodoku no akatsuki(孤独のあかつき)". The new song included in this single has been determined to be the theme song for NHK's soccer broadcast. This soccer show will be held between June to July covering domestic competitions such as Emperor's Cup and 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil.

"I've been longing for this opportunity", Shiina said about the tie-up with NHK's soccer broadcast this time. "I grew up in Shimizu, Shizuoka Prefecture known for soccer and I am excited for these matches coming up. Let's sing. I will do my best."

In addition, Shiina Ringo will also be releasing her first self covered album titled "Gyakuyunyu ~Kowankyoku~(逆輸入 ～港湾局～)" on May 27th, 2014, which marks the 16th anniversary of her debut.
