MAY’S to go on hiatus and vocalist to undergo throat surgery

The R&B duo MAY'S is going on break for the rest of this year, due to the health of vocalist Katagiri Maiko(片桐舞子). The group’s management office announced that Katagiri will be undergoing surgery on her throat.

This past summer, Katagiri began feeling that her throat was in poor condition, and she was recently diagnosed with nodules on her vocal cords that are hindering her voice. Her doctor determined that she needs to have surgery soon, so MAY’S will have to take a break while she is treated.

MAY’S already canceled two concerts that were scheduled for October 15 and 16.
