Yui Aragaki(新垣結衣) Joining the Cast Of "S - Saigo no Keikan(S -最後の警官-)" As Female Sniper

It has been revealed that actress Yui Aragaki(新垣結衣) is joining the cast of TBS drama "S -最後の警官-(S - Saigo no Keikan)" as the role of female sniper Irma Hayashi(林イルマ).

Aragaki is going to appear in the 9th episode of the series, which will air on March 9th, 2014.  She has received special training one month prior to the shooting of the drama to play the role of a sniper for the very first time in her acting career. She said, "It's been a challenge but I will do my best to play the role as realistic as I can be".

Aragaki's character Irma is going to play a key role in the drama. After Go Ayano(綾野剛)'s character Iori Soga(蘇我伊織) teamed up with Osamu Mukai(向井理)'s character Ichigo Kamikura(神御蔵一號) for a few episodes, Iori Soga is going to make his return back to SAT. Irma will become NPS's primary sniper and the only girl in the group. Despite her pretty appearance, she is an excellent athlete and has a very strong sense of justice, just like Ichigo Kamikura .

The drama series S - Saigo no Keikan is based on a manga with the same name.  Irma's character in the drama is going to be slightly changed from the manga.  Irma is the daughter of a police officer who shot and killed the assailant that murdered his own parents. After the incident, her father suffered from the emotional stress and resigned from the force.  Upon seeing the dark past of her own dad up close, she strives to become a sniper that "does not kill" the enemy.
